Foreign Language Chair and Spanish Teacher
Ilse López-Trigo serves as the school’s Spanish teacher and World Languages Chair. She has thirty years of experience as an educator having taught in primary, secondary, and collegiate institutions across the United States and Costa Rica. She is multicultural and obtained her higher education in Costa Rica, the United States, and Spain. Respectively, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English from the Universidad de Costa Rica, a Master’s in Education from Framingham University, and a Master’s in Spanish Language and Cultures from the Universidad de Salamanca. She believes that in this era of globalization, it is a necessity to learn a foreign language, not only to communicate with people from other cultures, but also to gain a different perspective on issues and opinions.
