Ms. Thomas is a corporate lawyer and a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada. She acts as general counsel to corporations in various industries, including, manufacturing, finance, and retail. Ms. Thomas earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce and holds an LLB from the University of Windsor, as well as a JD from the University of Detroit Mercy. Ms. Thomas was the coordinator of Pro Bono Students Canada and represented the University of Detroit Mercy in several international law competitions. She has taken a keen interest in public international law and children’s rights.
Mr. Macyda is a seasoned general counsel and business unit manager whose experience covers the corporate sector, government, private law practice, and academia. Through federal judicial initiates and non-profit social justice organizations, he has provided pro bono legal assistance to indigent individuals and economically depressed communities. Mr. Macyda is also a recognized legal author whose work has been published by, among other institutions, Cornell University and has been included as part of the Hague’s International Law Library Collection. Mr. Macyda holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, a law degree from the Vermont Law School, and certificates of legal study from Oxford University and Harvard University.
Mr. Kulkarni is an experienced entrepreneur and is the Chief Executive Officer of a large retail chain called Showcase. Under his leadership, the Showcase chain has expanded to over 150 stores across Canada and The United States. He has served as a member of the board of advisers of various privately-held companies in the manufacturing, distribution and technology industries in the United States and Canada. Mr. Kulkarni is a member of the Young Presidents Organization and The Indus Entrepreneurs. He holds a bachelor’s degree from York University and an MBA from Yale University.
Mr. Solomon is a fourth-generation solicitor with over 18 years’ legal experience. He qualified as an advocate in 1995 and in 1996 he stood first in the all India Solicitor’s examination. He is the Managing Partner of Solomon & Co., a leading Indian full-service law firm, established over 100 years ago. Mr. Solomon has many years of experience and expertise in the areas of mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance, and capital markets. In addition, Mr. Solomon acts as the Chairman of the India Chapter of the Friends of the Tel Aviv University and supports the Khushi Paediatric Therapy Centre, an NGO for children with special needs.
Mr. Joshi is a lawyer in India and has varied experience in corporate, regulatory and commercial legal work. Prior to joining Casa Laxmi he worked with the Multi Commodity Exchange of India, which is that country’s largest commodity futures exchange with an average daily turnover of US$3.67 billion. Mr. Joshi also worked with Sustainable Agro Finance Ltd., which was the first private sector Non-Banking Finance Company in India, providing financing for the agricultural industry. His notable work to date has consisted of recovery litigation and compliance with financial regulations with respect to various business concerns in India. Mr. Joshi holds a degree in law from the North Maharashtra University and a certificate of Cyber and Laws from the Asian School of Cyber Laws.
