
The West Nottingham Academy National Boys Basketball Team is set to make history as they travel to Dayton, Ohio, to compete in the prestigious Big Baller Brand National Prep Championships. This marks the team’s first appearance in a national tournament, an opportunity that underscores their remarkable season and continued success on the court.
Hosted by Big Baller Brand, founded by LaVar Ball—father of NBA stars Lonzo and LaMelo Ball—the tournament features an elite bracket-style competition showcasing top prep teams from across the United States and Canada, many of which hold national rankings. West Nottingham will play three games leading up to potential semifinal and championship rounds, with bracket play tipping off on Friday, February 28th. The championship game is set for Sunday, March 2nd, at 2:00 PM.
“This is an incredible opportunity for our program and a testament to the hard work, dedication, and talent of our players and coaching staff,” said, National team Head Coach, Kirsty Leedham. “We are honored to represent West Nottingham Academy on a national stage and compete against some of the best teams in North America.”
The team’s invitation to the Big Baller Brand National Prep Championships comes as a milestone achievement in what has already been a historic season. The Rams will be competing for a National Championship title, with hopes of bringing home a trophy and championship banner to add to their growing legacy.
