Lydia Thompson is in her first year as Sustainability Coordinator at West Nottingham Academy. Along with teaching Environmental Science and Policy, she will also be teaching Human Anatomy and Physiology. Lydia completed her BSc. in Zoology at the University of St. Andrews, and her MSc. in Biodiversity and Conservation at Trinity College Dublin. Her master’s focus was on improving agri-environmental schemes for solitary bee protection, and she is excited to bring this experience to the classroom and to Student Environmental Council. Also, for the past five summers, she has worked at a Girls’ sleepaway camp in Maine. Lydia is excited to get to combine her love of sustainability with teaching in a residential environment at WNA.
