Jingwen Ding teaches chemistry in WNA’s STEM Department. Dr. Ding earned her Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Connecticut in Storrs, where she taught general chemistry classes as a teaching assistant. While at UConn, Dr. Ding studied biological chemistry, and her doctoral research focused on protein stabilization and protein-based light-harvesting devices and upconversion systems for solar cell applications. Dr. Ding is also an accomplished pianist and singer, a passionate baker, and a Disney-movie enthusiast. Dr. Ding hopes to encourage her students to pursue their passions and interests in the same way that her own high school chemistry teacher inspired her to pursue her dream of becoming a chemist. Dr. Ding strives to create a comfortable learning environment and to inspire hope in each of her students.
