Aaron Byrd is a native Washingtonian who grew up playing basketball in the DC Metropolitan area. Aaron attended Dematha Catholic High school in Hyattsville, M.D. and transferred to Landon School where he graduated in 2015. He received a full scholarship to play basketball for Augusta University in Georgia where he majored in History and minored in Business Administration. In 2019, Aaron traveled to Hattiesburg, MS on an independent study where he had the opportunity to interview Charles Mclaurin, a close associate of Fannie Lou Hamer who was a top-tier leader in the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s. In 2019, Aaron graduated from Augusta University Cum Laude and is now pursuing a Masters in Religious Studies with a concentration on ethics and social justice. Aaron is working with Len Armstrong, WNA’s Assistant head of School for Enrollment Management and Lauren Grow, WNA’s Director of Marketing and Development on admissions and marketing advancement.
