The WNA Girls Soccer team is excited about an outstanding 2022 season under the leadership of Head Coach Joseph Graziosi. The Fabulous Footballers of Nottingham are looking forward to building on their 3-3-1 season record from last year by playing a full season of fifteen matches. In addition to the Northern Maryland Soccer League matches, the Rams will face some of the areas toughest independent school girls programs by adding five Interscholastic Association of Maryland schools to the schedule.
Four-year returner Kaliah Hercules and second year player Sarah Nicole Becerra-Martinez will provide field and training leadership as captains for this young and vibrantly developing program. Coach G has provided several tools for them to prepare over the summer. Senior leadership will be vitally important in developing a cohesive style of play, especially after losing 7 starters from last year’s team. WNA has a committed group of returning players and we look forward to integrating new arrivals to this committed group of student-athletes.
Our goal is to strive for athletic excellence through character development, integrity, mental toughness, and fun. The team motto is “Control the Controllable” which, when implemented, allows us to play at a high level and achieve our very best over the course of the season.
