How to Afford a WNA Education

We never stop working to make West Nottingham Academy as affordable as possible and we understand that every family enters into the admission process with different financial circumstances. As a result, we offer a number of merit-based scholarships and financial aid opportunities to ensure that every family has equal access to a WNA education.

With the cost of boarding school in Maryland as high as it is, we know how important scholarship opportunities and boarding school financial aid are to students and families. In the 2020-2021 school year, close to 50 percent of all WNA domestic students received financial aid. Our goal at WNA is to make the cost of boarding school affordable by offering customized tuition as well as several payment options. We provide a number of merit-based scholarships and tuition discounts for those eligible to apply. Need-based awards are granted based on the availability of funds and financial information provided by our applying families. Now more than ever, we encourage you to take that first step to learn what options are available for your family.

  • Environmental Sustainability: These students will be active members of West Nottingham’s Student Environmental Council and will have access to additional resources the school has to offer as an MAEOE Certified Sustainable School.
  • STEM and Technology Innovation: These students will become campus experts on the resources available in the Innovation Center, as well as pioneers of the Principles of Science and Engineering class.

Aspiring Artists:  These students will have their own studio space on campus and will receive one-on-one time with each of the Eric Fischl ’66 Artists-in-Residence outside of classroom instruction.  They can also take advantage of a wide variety of visual and performing arts curriculum to explore their creative talents.
